Historic Backhaus
Authentic cuisine from the Palatinate served in a rustic atmosphere. Come, settle in, and enjoy the historic setting. We will be dining directly next to the large hearth, the old baking chimney of Heidelberg Castle – historical flair included!
Our menu
Our speciality is Flammkuchen from the stone oven. During the summer and autumn season we lay the table in the master parlor or on the sun terrace.

Backhaus package
The historic Backhaus has a unique view of the castle facades and is the perfect place for festivities for groups of 10 people or more. We recommend unusual group packages such as a historic knight’s banquet, summer BBQs, or casual flammkuchen dinners.
With its imposing baking fireplace and unique summer terrace in the castle courtyard, the Backhaus can accommodate up to 50 people. We’ll of course be happy to advise you personally when you’re there!

Directions
Parking spaces are available on the designated parking area above the castle. From there, it’s just a short walk to the Backhaus.
