Who is Martin Scharff?
Awarded a Michelin star consistently for more than 30 years, Dinkelsbühl-born Martin Scharff once received it as the youngest chef of his generation. He is a founding member of Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe Germany and a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and the German football chefs' national team.
For many years his cooking delighted celebrities and guests at the Berlinale, and he sits on the juries of several national and international cooking competitions. As culinary lord of Germany's best-known castle ruin he hosts and delights national and international guests with refined yet grounded, uncomplicated food.
He calls himself a culinary globetrotter and has travelled almost every interesting cuisine in the world. He therefore likes to accent his four- to eight-course menus with influences from Latin America, Asia or the Mediterranean — while working with selected regional produce and seasonal Mediterranean herbs.

The signature
A culinary globetrotter
“A concert is enjoyed with all the senses — including the palate.” For the open-air nights in the courtyard, Martin Scharff translates his star cooking into something festive: fancy street food in four courses at the party nights, multi-course gourmet menus at the galas.
Regional, seasonal, with herbs from the castle garden — and always with the ambition that a dish is still worth talking about after the last bite.
